Confirm the strip voltage. Check whether your selected strip is DC 12V or DC 24V.
Select the correct power supply. Match 12V strips with 12V DC power supplies and 24V strips with 24V DC power supplies.
Choose an SPI RGB controller. The controller must be compatible with WS2811-type programmable RGB lighting.
Test before permanent mounting. Connect the strip, controller, and power supply correctly and confirm normal operation.
Prepare the mounting surface. Install on a clean, dry, smooth indoor surface for better adhesive performance.
