How to Choose the Correct Power Supply
The FOB-RGBCCT-960 is rated at 18W per meter. Calculate the total LED strip load before selecting a constant-voltage power supply and PWM controller.
Power Calculation: 18W/m x Strip Length = Rated LED Strip Power
Recommended PSU Capacity: Select a correctly rated DC supply with approximately 20-30% headroom.

The controller must also support the full connected load, including the required total current and per-channel current. For example, a 10m strip rated at 180W represents approximately 15A at 12V or 7.5A at 24V. A controller rated at 15A maximum has no operating headroom for a full 180W load at 12V; select an appropriately rated system or use suitable additional control hardware.

This product is a bare LED strip, not a ready-to-use plug-and-play lighting kit. A correctly matched DC power supply and 6-pin PWM RGBCCT controller must be purchased separately.
Installation Guide
Follow these steps for a safe, clean, and professional installation.
- Plan Your Layout: Measure the installation area and select the required length, voltage, and PCB color.
- Select Compatible Accessories: Prepare a matching DC 12V or 24V power supply and a constant-voltage 6-pin RGBCCT PWM controller with sufficient current capacity.
- Disconnect All Power: Never make or modify electrical connections while the system is energized.
- Cut if Necessary: Cut only along the marked cutting positions, approximately every 41.67mm. Do not cut through LEDs or unmarked PCB areas.
- Connect the LED Strip: Wire the six RGBCCT connections to their corresponding controller terminals according to the markings on the actual strip and controller. Check polarity carefully.
- Connect the Power Supply: Connect the correctly rated DC power supply output to the controller's DC input. All mains-side connections must follow the power supply manufacturer's instructions and local electrical requirements.
- Test Before Mounting: Fully unroll the strip, then briefly test the RGB and white channels at reduced brightness. Confirm proper operation before final installation.
- Prepare the Surface: Clean and dry the mounting area. Remove oil, dust, and loose material before applying the adhesive backing.
- Install Carefully: Apply gentle, even pressure to secure the strip. Avoid sharp bends, folds, pressure on the COB surface, or unsupported hanging sections.
- Configure the Controller: Set the external controller to its RGBCCT mode and configure any supported app, remote, or smart-home functions.
- Verify Final Operation: Check colors, dimming, thermal conditions, and brightness consistency along the entire installed length.
Basic Connection Layout
AC Mains → Suitable AC/DC Power Supply → 6-Pin PWM RGBCCT Controller → RGBCCT COB LED Strip
The AC mains supply must connect only to the correctly rated AC input of the power supply. The LED controller and LED strip connect only to the appropriate low-voltage DC system.
The actual wire colors, channel labels, and terminal arrangement may vary between controllers. Always follow the markings on the supplied components.
Troubleshooting Guide
LED Strip Does Not Turn On
Check the AC/DC power supply, DC output voltage, polarity, controller settings, terminal connections, and power capacity. Disconnect power before inspecting wiring.
Incorrect RGB Colors or White Channels
Verify that the controller is configured for RGBCCT mode and that the R, G, B, warm-white, cool-white, and common power terminals are correctly matched.
Brightness Decreases Along the Strip
Check the supply voltage, cable size, voltage drop, and total load. Consider additional DC power injection or divided power feeds for longer installations.
Strip Flickers or Changes Brightness Unexpectedly
Inspect loose connectors, unstable power supplies, insufficient controller current capacity, and poorly secured electrical connections.
Adhesive Does Not Hold Properly
Ensure the mounting surface is smooth, clean, dry, and appropriate for adhesive installation. Consider aluminum profiles or mounting clips where necessary.
Smart App Cannot Find the Strip
The bare LED strip has no wireless module. Pair the compatible WiFi or Zigbee controller according to its own instructions and verify the required network or gateway.
Important Safety Information
WARNING - LOW-VOLTAGE DC LED STRIP
- NEVER connect the LED strip or low-voltage controller directly to AC 110V/220V/230V mains electricity. Doing so can cause severe damage, electric shock, or fire.
- A DC 12V LED strip must use a suitable DC 12V power supply. A DC 24V strip must use a suitable DC 24V power supply. Do not mix voltages.
- Use only an appropriately rated 6-pin PWM RGBCCT controller, with sufficient total and per-channel current capacity.
- Do not operate the LED strip while it remains tightly wound on the reel. Trapped heat can damage the LEDs or PCB.
- Never operate a damaged, crushed, short-circuited, or incorrectly wired strip.
- Do not install in wet locations or outdoors without a separately verified protective system suitable for those conditions.
- Avoid excessive bending, twisting, overlapping, or covering the illuminated strip with thermally insulating materials.
- Provide suitable thermal management, especially for longer installations and prolonged high-brightness operation.
- Disconnect power before cutting, soldering, connecting, cleaning, or servicing the installation.
