Traditional stair lighting can mean multiple cables, complicated routing and time-consuming installation. STEP-10 uses a main-line installation system: one main cable runs along the staircase and each LED strip connects directly to a matching node.
The result is a cleaner installation with less wiring, while still giving you motion activation, adjustable brightness, adjustable color temperature and multiple dynamic lighting effects.

Choose a warmer color temperature for relaxed evening lighting or a cooler white for a brighter, cleaner modern appearance.
Please note: all connected stair strips use the same color-temperature setting. Individual steps cannot be assigned different color temperatures.

Main-Line Installation System
Instead of routing an individual long cable from every stair step back to the controller, STEP-10 uses one main cable installed along the side of the staircase.
Each COB stair strip plugs into a connection node on the main line. This helps reduce wiring clutter and makes installation more organized.
Automatic PIR Motion Activation
Two PIR sensors can be installed at opposite ends of the staircase. When movement is detected, the controller automatically starts the selected lighting sequence.
This creates a convenient hands-free lighting experience for hallways, staircases and other indoor transition areas.

Installation Guide
- Measure your staircase. Confirm the number of steps and check that the distance between adjacent steps is compatible with the approximately 35 cm main-line node spacing.
- Plan the main-line direction. Follow the directional arrows marked on the main line.
- Prepare each stair surface. Make sure it is dry, flat and free from dust, oil or debris.
- Trim the COB strips if required. Cut only at the marked 26.3 mm cutting positions.
- Install the LED strips. Remove the adhesive backing and press each strip firmly onto the stair surface.
- Connect the LED strips to the main line. Ensure all connectors are fully seated.
- Install the PIR sensors. Position one near the top and one near the bottom of the staircase.
- Connect the controller and 24V power supply. Complete all low-voltage wiring before applying power.
- Power on and configure. Set the number of stairs, desired color temperature, brightness, lighting mode, speed and hold time.
Troubleshooting
The system does not turn on
Check the 24V power supply, controller connections and the installation direction of the main line. The main line must follow the marked arrow direction.
One stair does not illuminate
Turn the power off and check the LED strip connector at that main-line node. Make sure the connector is fully inserted and the strip has not been cut outside a marked cutting position.
The motion sensor does not trigger correctly
Check the PIR sensor connection and mounting position. Confirm that the sensor has an unobstructed detection area.
The main line cannot reach around a staircase corner
Where necessary, the main line may be cut and extended using a suitable 4-pin cable. This requires additional wiring work and should only be carried out when you understand the cable connections.
Important Notes & Safety Warnings
- Never connect the STEP-10 controller or LED strips directly to AC 110V/220V mains power. The controller must be powered through the supplied DC 24V power supply.
- Follow the directional arrows on the main line. Installing the main line in the wrong direction can prevent the system from operating correctly.
- Main-line connection nodes are approximately 35 cm apart. Measure your staircase before ordering.
- Each PIR sensor cable is approximately 1 m. The kit includes one 5 m PIR extension cable. Additional extension cables may need to be purchased separately.
- Clean and dry the mounting surface before applying the LED strips.
- Switch off power before installing, connecting, removing or adjusting LED strips.
- IP30 LED strips are intended for dry indoor environments.
- Select the correct staircase step quantity before ordering.

Can I adjust the color temperature of the STEP-10 stair lights?
Yes. The system supports adjustable white color temperature from approximately 2700K to 6500K.
Can every stair have a different color temperature?
No. All connected LED strips use the same CCT setting. The system changes the color temperature of the staircase together.
How do the motion sensor stair lights work?
Two PIR sensors detect movement from opposite ends of the staircase and trigger the selected stair-lighting sequence automatically.
How many stair steps can the STEP-10 controller support?
