Always match DC 5V output and provide sufficient current.

Simple Installation Guide
Step 1 - Plan Your Lighting Layout
Measure the installation space and confirm the strip width, length, color and connector before installation.
Step 2 - Check Your Power Supply
Prepare a regulated DC 5V power source with sufficient current for the complete LED strip and any connected dimmer or controller.
Step 3 - Fully Unroll the Strip
Remove the strip from its reel before prolonged operation. Never illuminate the strip while it remains tightly coiled.
Step 4 - Cut Only If Necessary
Disconnect power before cutting. Cut strictly at the marked positions on the actual strip. Do not cut through active LED sections.
Step 5 - Prepare the Mounting Surface
Clean and dry the mounting surface. Remove dust, grease and moisture. Secure the strip with its supplied adhesive backing where applicable or suitable mounting accessories.
Step 6 - Connect and Test
Check connector compatibility and polarity, then connect to the appropriate 5V power source. Test the complete strip before permanent mounting.
Step 7 - Finish and Inspect
Keep wiring secure, avoid sharp folds and allow the strip to dissipate heat. For longer runs, check for voltage drop and uneven brightness.
Cutting Reference
- 2mm version: listed cutting interval approximately 12.5mm.
- 10mm version: listed cutting interval approximately 50mm.
- 3mm and 5mm versions: verify the designated cut marks on the specific DC 5V strip before cutting. Do not use a cutting interval specified for a different voltage version.
Troubleshooting Guide
The LED Strip Does Not Turn On
Check for regulated DC 5V output, sufficient power capacity, correct polarity, secure connections and the dimmer's on/off status.
The Strip Flickers or Turns Off Unexpectedly
The power source, USB dimmer or wiring may not support the required current. Check the total connected load and the ratings of every component.
One End Looks Dimmer
Voltage drop may occur on longer 5V installations. Use appropriately rated wiring, a suitable power distribution layout or additional power feed points where required.
The Strip Does Not Respond to Smart Control
Confirm the external controller supports 5V single-color PWM strips and that the correct output terminals and configuration are used.
The Strip Becomes Excessively Hot
Switch off power. Make sure the strip is fully unrolled, properly mounted, adequately ventilated and supplied with the correct 5V voltage. Do not continue operating damaged or overheating equipment.

1. Can I connect this 5V COB LED strip to a 12V or 24V power supply?
No. It is designed exclusively for regulated DC 5V power. Connecting it to DC 12V, DC 24V or household AC mains can damage the strip and create a safety hazard.
2. Does the package include a USB adapter, power supply or LED controller?
No external power adapter or smart controller is included. Only the USB dimmer version includes its specified inline dimmer.
3. What is the difference between 2mm, 3mm, 5mm and 10mm COB LED strips?
The 2mm and 3mm models are ideal for very narrow decorative gaps at 5W/m. The 5mm version offers a balanced 7W/m design, while the 10mm version is rated at 10W/m for higher-output applications.
4. Is this COB LED strip RGB or color changing?
No. Each strip is a single-color version. You select the fixed light color when ordering. A compatible PWM dimmer can change brightness but cannot turn it into RGB lighting.
5. Does the USB COB LED strip include brightness and timer control?
The USB dimmer option supports on/off control, brightness adjustment and an approximately 60-second countdown shutoff function. Other connector versions do not automatically include this dimmer.
