MALIIGAZA STEP-09 is an intelligent main-line motion sensor stair lighting kit designed for indoor staircases. It combines automatic PIR activation, daylight sensing, sequential step-by-step lighting and high-density COB LED strips with a simplified main-line wiring system.

Step-by-Step Lighting That Follows Your Movement

When motion is detected at the staircase entrance, the controller activates the stair lights in sequence instead of switching every tread on at once. This creates an elegant flowing effect while clearly illuminating the walking route.

Main-Line Design for Cleaner, Easier Wiring

Instead of routing a separate long wire from every stair back to the controller, STEP-09 uses one main cable installed along the staircase. Each COB strip connects directly to a nearby main-line node, helping reduce cable clutter and installation work.

480 LEDs/m COB for Smooth, Premium Light

The high-density COB strip produces a continuous line of light without the clearly visible individual LED dots common on standard low-density SMD strips. With CRI 90+ and strong brightness, it creates a clean architectural lighting effect for modern interiors.

Daylight-Aware Motion Activation

The included daylight sensor allows the system to respond according to surrounding brightness instead of unnecessarily activating every time motion is detected in a bright environment. Daylight sensitivity can be adjusted according to the actual installation environment.

12 Dynamic Modes with Adjustable Parameters

Customize the lighting effect from the controller or remote control. STEP-09 supports 12 dynamic modes together with adjustable brightness, lighting speed, step quantity and stay-on time up to 200 seconds.

1. Count the stairs you want to illuminate. Select the corresponding step-count option on the product page.
2. Choose your LED color. Available options may include warm white, natural white, cold white and selected decorative colors according to the listed variant.
3. Choose 1m or 1.2m strips. Measure the intended illuminated width on each tread before ordering.
4. Measure the distance between each step. The standard main line uses approximately 35cm spacing between connection nodes.

A 40cm-spacing main line is also available separately. If your stair spacing is larger than 35cm, please confirm your measurements before ordering. For special layouts, the main line can also be cut and extended using a suitable 4-pin cable.

• No activation: Confirm the 24V power supply, PIR connections, daylight settings and sensor position.
• Incorrect lighting sequence: Check the configured stair quantity and confirm that the main-line direction and connection order are correct.
• One stair does not light: Switch the power off before checking that stair's COB strip lead and main-line connection.
• Lights do not activate in bright conditions: Check the daylight sensor setting. This may be normal when daylight-control mode is enabled.

⚠ Important Power & Installation Safety

The STEP-09 controller and COB LED strips operate on DC 24V. Never connect the controller or LED strips directly to AC 110V / 220V mains power.

Always connect the system through the supplied 24V transformer power supply.

Disconnect power before installing, removing or checking LED strips and connectors. STEP-09 and the included IP30 COB strips are intended for indoor use.

What plug will I receive with my STEP-09 stair lighting kit?

We provide US, EU, UK and AU plug specifications. You do not need to select the plug type separately. We normally ship the appropriate plug according to the destination country or region of your order. Product photos may show a US plug for demonstration purposes only.

Does STEP-09 have smartphone App control?

STEP-09 is primarily controlled by PIR motion sensing, the controller and remote control. If Bluetooth App control is required, compare the MALIIGAZA STEP-P5 stair light kit.

How many stairs can STEP-09 control?

The controller supports up to 40 steps. Please purchase the exact step-count configuration available on the product page for your staircase.

Can I adjust the brightness and lighting speed?

Yes. STEP-09 supports adjustable brightness, dynamic-effect speed and lighting duration, with stay-on time adjustable up to 200 seconds.

Can I cut the COB LED strips?

Yes. The included COB strips can be cut at the marked cutting points, approximately every 50mm.

Should I choose 1m or 1.2m COB strips?

Choose according to the intended illuminated width of your stairs. Measure the usable mounting area on each tread before ordering.

What is the difference between the 35cm and 40cm main line?

The standard main line uses approximately 35cm spacing between neighboring strip connection nodes. A 40cm-spacing version is also available separately for staircases that require additional distance.

Can the main line be extended around a landing or staircase corner?

Yes. For layouts that require additional distance, the main line can be cut and extended using a suitable compatible 4-pin cable. Plan the route carefully before installation.

Does STEP-09 include aluminum profiles?

No. Aluminum profiles are not included with this stair-light kit. The COB strip itself produces a smooth continuous line of light without obvious individual LED dots.

Can STEP-09 be used on a staircase with a landing or turn?

Yes, depending on the actual main-line route and distance. Measure each staircase section separately and determine whether a main-line extension is required before installation.

Is STEP-09 suitable for outdoor stairs?

No. The included COB strips are IP30 and this kit is intended for indoor staircase lighting.

Can I connect the controller directly to 110V or 220V?

No. Never connect the controller or LED strips directly to AC 110V or 220V. The controller must be powered through the supplied 24V transformer power supply.
