A remote purchased by itself cannot control an LED strip without a compatible controller. Please check the selected variant carefully before ordering.
Basic Installation Guide
- Identify your LED strip type. Confirm whether the strip uses PWM or SPI control and verify its operating voltage.
- Disconnect power. Complete all wiring before applying power to the system.
- Connect the LED strip. Match the controller terminals to the correct strip connections. For SPI strips, verify the strip's voltage, data direction and pin order.
- Connect a DC power supply. Use a correctly sized DC 5-24V power supply that matches your LED strip.
- Power on the system. Check that all connections are secure before switching on the power supply.
- Configure BanlanX. Add the controller in the BanlanX app and follow the in-app instructions for WiFi or Bluetooth setup.
- Pair the optional RF remote. If purchased, use the matching remote for the selected lighting mode and follow the controller's pairing procedure.
Troubleshooting Guide
Confirm that the DC power supply is working, the voltage is within DC 5-24V and the polarity is correct.
Check the selected LED strip mode, wiring order and strip voltage. SPI and PWM strips require different control configurations.
Confirm Bluetooth or WiFi is enabled as required and follow the BanlanX connection instructions. This controller does not use the Tuya or Smart Life app.
Confirm that you purchased the correct remote type, install a CR2025 battery and pair the remote with the compatible controller.
Recheck the controller operating mode and wiring before applying power. Never assume two different LED strip types use the same pin arrangement.
Important Safety Notes
- DC 5-24V only. Never connect the SP530E directly to AC 110V, 120V, 220V or 230V mains power.
- Direct connection to mains voltage can immediately damage the controller and create a serious electrical hazard.
- Use a DC power supply that matches the voltage and power requirements of your LED strip.
- Disconnect power before installing, removing or changing LED strip wiring.
- Check polarity, data direction and terminal assignments before powering SPI lighting.
- Do not exceed the controller's maximum rated current.
- The controller uses BanlanX and does not support Tuya or Smart Life.
- The optional RF remote requires 1 x CR2025 battery. Battery is not included.
